# fr_16 - Metro station, Paris

Opened 1900. This architecture in this picture appeals to me on several levels. The colors are intense and the curves rush away into the distance. On the right, the wall resembles a cresting wave while the figure in the open doorway could have come from one of the lonely urban landscapes by the painter Edward Hopper.
