# fav_07 - Church, Auvers sur Oise

The small town of Auvers on the Oise River, lies about an hour and a half drive north of Paris. It is distinquished by the fact that Vincent Van Gogh spent the last two months of his life there and is buried in the local cemetary. His painting of this church is one of his last. I like the way the church is framed by the stone walls on either side as well as the stone steps leading up.
